I’m a 36-year-old Hispanic artist from California, incarcerated since 2012. I’ve learned to make
the best of my situation by turning to art as a way to grow and stay grounded. Through my work,
I try to uplift those around me and bring something positive out of where I am. Shoutout to the
Convict Clothing Still Human movement for giving people like me a platform to be seen and
heard.
