Isaiah Aguilar is a Las Vegas-born artist whose work reflects both his roots and his personal transformation. Incarcerated at 19, Isaiah has spent his time developing his artistic abilities and using creativity as a way to reflect, heal, and redefine his future. His piece, Battle Born, pays tribute to his Nevada heritage while exploring the timeless message of “See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil.” Throughout the composition, intricate filigree, skulls, and symbolic imagery tell the story of a life shaped by hardship, personal choices, and growth. Several of the skulls featured in the artwork are based on tattoos Isaiah gave himself during one of the darkest periods of his life, serving as permanent reminders of where he has been and how far he has come. Now preparing for his upcoming parole hearing, Isaiah views art as more than creative expression—it is a record of his journey, his resilience, and his commitment to becoming someone defined not by his past, but by the person he is working to become. Through every piece, he hopes to share a message of growth, hope, and positive energy with those who experience his work.
