Collection: Art By Kevin Taylor
My name is Kevin Taylor. I’m 36 years old, and I’ve been incarcerated since the age of 20. I come from a line of artists—I’m a second-generation tattoo artist, and my daughter is now a practicing third-generation artist. One day, I hope to open and run a tattoo shop with her, continuing that legacy.
Over the past 16 years, I’ve used art as a way to grow, stay grounded, and create something positive out of difficult circumstances. It’s become more than just a skill—it’s an outlet, a purpose, and a way to connect with others. Being able to create something that brings someone else joy, especially through a personal piece, is one of the most meaningful parts of what I do.
When I’m released, my goal is not just to build a life for myself, but to give back—to help other artists find their footing and create opportunities for people who just need a chance.
My inspiration comes from the world around me—the people, the moments, and the experiences I witness every day. (Pun intended.) With every piece, I continue to learn and evolve.
I also want to use my art to support causes bigger than myself, including raising awareness and showing support for those affected by cancer.
Art can be an escape. Whether you’re experienced or just starting out, it has the power to bring peace in a world that can often feel chaotic. All it takes is a willingness to let your imagination move—and let your hands follow.
